In 2017, the company DECCI contributed towards the purchase of a new vehicle to be used by social workers. The car will be used by the employees of the social care facility Červený Mlýn – Všestudy.
The new vehicle will help social workers to provide services to clients as well as to perform a number of other activities. Representatives of the social care facility Červený Mlýn in Všestudy officially took over a new Dacia Dokker vehicle on Tuesday January 30, 2018. Petr Kubíček, the head of the social facility, and a representative of the Poděbrady marketing agency Kompakt, under the aegis of which the purchase took place, were present at the event during which the car was handed over. About four dozens of sponsors contributed towards the purchase. These included large companies as well as individuals – local and from the surrounding areas. The largest contributors were Reisswolf, a data and document shredding company, Niedax-Kleinhuis, Chvalis, a hydraulic machinery manufacturer, Decci servis, Luksík – Promex, a workwear producer, and others.
The project seeks to create, improve and restore car fleets owned by institutions and facilities whose activities are focused on training, educating, rehabilitating and integrating disabled and mentally and otherwise handicapped people.
The project is based a “commercial-on-wheels” system. Such a system consists of a business agent adopting the project once a year and addressing companies with an objective to compile a set of companies interested in supporting and contributing towards a good cause, i.e. the purchase and preparation of a vehicle to be handed over to one of the local social care facilities. Contributing organization representatives do not only get a good feeling from being generous. This is also a great opportunity to advertise the company on a vehicle in plain view of thousands of people.
Companies across the Czech Republic have made it possible for 700 social care vehicles to be purchased and handed over to social care facilities and institutions since 1997 when the project commenced.
